Outdoor Lighting Design Technician

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, including but not limited to:

· The person who's right for this position would begin as a holiday lights installer/remover with the option to work their way into landscape lighting design and installation. Holiday lighting would be both traditional and Gemstone permanent roofline lighting.

· Safely climb and utilize ladders to perform necessary installation tasks.

· Willingness to learn and be trained on outdoor lighting repair and installations in the manner prescribed by the Business.

· Assemble and mount lighting in prescribed locations, mount transformers and connect low voltage wire runs.

· Safely operate a variety of power tools including hammer drills, power drills, saws, grinders and other tools as required.

· Perform repair, cleaning, and adjusting of existing low voltage outdoor lighting systems.

· Problem-solve at the work site and communicate with Lead Technician about any changes.

· Clean up of all areas affected by the installation and perform maintenance on all Company tools and equipment used daily on work sites.

· Speak to Homeowner/Client with respect to educate and upsell other products, as applicable.

· If applicable to the position, operate company vehicle in a safe manner, maintain a clean and orderly vehicle. Notify management of any vehicle accidents, malfunctions or damages. Maintain a valid driver’s license (no moving violations or accidents in the last 3 years).

· Prepares, correctly completes, and submits reports.

· Promptly inform Business Owner of any team member injury, issues/disputes with Home Owner/Client, damage to structure, or company tools/equipment.

· Participating in on-line and in-person training, as directed by the Business Owner.

· Follow all company polices, safety rules and procedures including all highway traffic laws.

· Receive and follow oral and written instructions from Business Owner.

· Perform other duties that may be assigned, such as admin or marketing activities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Roofing or other ladder work, carpentry and masonry skills are a plus, but not essential.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills that positively benefit team members and Clients.

· Ability to work both independently and as a team player.

· Problem solving skills are a great plus!

· Must be detailed oriented, able to plan, prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of 1-year experience in a customer service-related industry.

· General knowledge of smartphone apps, email and texting.

· Ability to successfully pass a background check, including a clean driving record, and other pre- employment screening.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

· Able to lift & carry items up to 75 lbs.

· Frequently move the whole body to perform tasks such as, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling the handling of materials.

· Stand or walk for periods of time.

· Stoop, kneel, crouch in awkward positions.

· Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
