Butterfly Pavilion’s Spiders Around the World Exhibition
This fall, Butterfly Pavilion dares guests to face their fears, spark curiosity, and discover the beauty of spiders with the return of Spiders Around the World. Running September 26 through October 31, 2025, this limited-time exhibition immerses visitors in the fascinating world of arachnids, from dazzling tarantulas to delicate jumping spiders, and culminates in the breathtaking Spider Zone experience. Spider Zone: No Glass. No Barriers. Just You and the Spiders. The highlight of the exhibition, Spider Zone, is unlike anything else in Colorado. Step inside a free-roaming habitat where hundreds of magnificent orb-weaving spiders spin their intricate webs overhead and all around you. With no glass and no barriers, this thrilling and safe encounter invites you to stand among these master builders and see them in action—challenging fears, awakening curiosity, and transforming how you see spiders forever. Spiders from Around the World Across the exhibition, guests will encounter a remarkable collection of species representing six continents. From the vibrant Pumpkin Patch Tarantula of Colombia and the dazzling Skeleton Leg Tarantula to Colorado’s own native spiders and even the infamous black widow, each animal has a story to tell. Together, they reveal the diversity, resilience, and ecological importance of spiders worldwide. Why We Celebrate Spiders Spiders are often misunderstood, yet they play a critical role in ecosystems. They manage pest populations, protect crops, provide food for other animals, and serve as indicators of environmental change. At Butterfly Pavilion, we shine a spotlight on these incredible creatures to replace fear with respect and foster a deeper appreciation for their value to life on Earth. Perfect for Families, Educators, and Adventure Seekers Whether you’re a lifelong arachnid enthusiast, a family seeking a safe but exhilarating adventure, or someone ready to face a fear, Spiders Around the World and Spider Zone deliver a memorable experience.
